Aita Ighodaro – Founding Director

Aita Ighodaro was born in West London to a family of Nigerian and Sierra Leonean descent and divides her time between Europe and Africa. She was educated at Oxford University.

As founding director of Idaro, Aita has advised a former head of government and worked with international clients across finance, commodities, media and retail.

Beyond Idaro, Aita is passionate about the arts and is the author of two successful novels which have been published around the world. 

She is a keen art collector and has advised and given talks on collecting Modern & Contemporary African art, most recently at the Landsdowne Club on a panel with the Head of Modern & Contemporary African Art at Sotheby’s.  In 2017 Aita was invited to join the Tate Africa Acquisitions Committee. 

She speaks English, French and German.
